Day 75- Korean War Memorial

Korean War Memorial 1

I believe the Korean War Memorial is my all time favorite. My father in law was in the Korean War. There are statues that are so realistic. The wall doesn't have names, but photos etched in it. This memorial just speaks to me. I always look forward to visiting this one each year.

And my last picture for today is so fitting. They are the actually ruby slippers worn in the Wizard of Oz. The Smithsonian was the last stop before eating and getting on the bus to head home. I so wanted to put them on and click my heels to be home. There really is no place like home!

  2. not cheating you opened the photo and had to do something to it to get up on the blog so there for you worked on somethign photography involved.

justification is always nearby for whatever we do.

I just had to comment on this I haven't been to DC but this memorial is why I want to go so very badly I think even in pictures it is so moving I can only imagine in person what it would be like.

My husband jokes that when we go just drop him at the smithsonian and pick him back up in a week or two or three. lol

  3. Thanks Michelle for all you hard photo work. Love the memorial and the photos. This photography is harder than it appears to those on the outside.
