OK, I'm not really working with a theme here but I have 2 pictures in a row that would fit in a theme together. Maybe infinity? I had a harder time making these look like they were going on forever because I had a lot less of these little bottles than the reinkers from yesterday. I hope the sun stays out so I might be able to get out and about tomorrow to take some pictures.

I decided to line up some of the reinkers for my stamp pads. They are in little dropper bottles. I lined them up randomly and wanted to focus on the tops. I tried to set it up so it looks like they go on forever. I could probably line them up so they really go on forever but this isn't even 1/4th of what I have.

I found some clips on my stamp desk that will work for my metal picture this month. Of course this is another macro picture.

I have been pulling things out on the stamp desk again. I decided to take a picture of this spring colored ribbon. I love ribbon and add it to almost every card I make.

I'm a little late with posting my picture from yesterday but this is it.
This is my shot for "Old Fashioned." This is a ring my great grandmother gave me when I was born. She didn't want me to forget her. Gran-gran lived until I was in my early 20's. I love this ring and think of her every time I wear it.

I drove out to the old Greenbriar and took a picture today. A few weekends ago when Chris and I went driving this caught my eye. So I had to go back and take a picture.
I went out looking for something to take a picture of today. I really liked the sky here so I took a picture of the new walking trail close to the house. This was taken with my new 50 mm lens.
After coming back from D.C. I'm having a hard time finding something to photograph. I was spoiled with tons of picture worthy subjects.

I'm cheating again today but I got so many good pictures on my trip that I have to share them. The sun is suppose to come out again tomorrow so I'm going to try to get some new pictures.
I also love the Iwo Jima Memorial. It is another of my favorites. I got more of a silhouette picture for this one because of the lighting/rain. This one turned out better than one I took a few years ago. I'm cheating because this wasn't taken today. I am so worn out from the trip. My muscles are screaming every time I move. I'm heading to bed early tonight and I plan to sleep as late as possible tomorrow.
I believe the Korean War Memorial is my all time favorite. My father in law was in the Korean War. There are statues that are so realistic. The wall doesn't have names, but photos etched in it. This memorial just speaks to me. I always look forward to visiting this one each year.

It is so hard for me to pick one picture for each day since I got so many during my D.C. trip. I think I like this one from the Jefferson Memorial. It doesn't do much for the scale of the statue, however, I do like the fact that you can read some of the words around the inside of the dome.

I took this picture at the FDR Memorial. This is the first time I have visited this memorial. There were lots of water falls there so I had to play a little with my shutter speed to get a good picture of the flowing water.

Saturday we went to the Capitol Building. It rained on us the whole time we were there. You will see from my DC pictures that most of them are rainy/foggy.

Today I dissected cow eyes with my 5th grade students. They were so excited they couldn't stand it. I did one and they followed along with their own. They said I had to take pictures of it and post on our class web site. I even had kids that brought their own cameras so they could take pictures too.
I hope I haven't grossed anyone out too much. I tell my kids gloves are for wimps so we all dissected with our bare hands. The kids loved it!
My honey is a model builder. He builds lots of things from scratch and adds so much detail. As you can see this is realistic. Check out the other pictures I uploaded- it shows how tiny this really is. It is so small that I couldn't see a lot of details until I looked through my macro lens!

I went with circles again today. I have these neat little containers I keep all my brads in (I'm a stamper). So I pulled them out and took a picture of them.

Chris and I went out to take some pictures this afternoon. We went all around and came back by the airport. The Air Force was practicing and I got lots of pictures of this plane. It was circling around, coming in for a landing, and then taking right back up again.

No, look closer. Inside are cow eyeballs. We are dissecting them next week and I didn't have a container for them. So we put them in a cheese ball container. I doubt anyone will mistake the cow eyes for cheese balls. I just thought it was comical.
I picked the theme disorder to use today. Not what you'd normally think of when you think disorder. I think OCD. That's a disorder right?
One of my flickr friends told me about a blog where they post a monthly theme list. I went with circles for today's picture. All these are beads for my bracelet, which are circles.
Thank you to my sweet honey for buying all these beads for me. I got 2 of them from my brother's family for Christmas. I love this bracelet and wear it every day.
Today my students dissected sheep brains. They were so funny and had a lot of fun. I had fun grossing them out pulling the brains out of the bag with my bare hands. They wanted gloves and I just said, "Nah, you don't need gloves."
The theme this week is winter. So I went with why I hate winter. I can't wear my favorite shoes. I have a black pair and a brown pair. During the spring/summer I wear these every day at work. Everyone gives me a hard time about wearing them because I'm a teacher. What can I say? I love my shoes!
