Macro flower 1

It's interesting to read how people react to the different images. To me, the first one is the all-around winner, though I think it could use a tiny bit of a crop on the left side. The detail is fabulous and your focus point spot on. Plus, the mauve tulip just jumps out from the background. While I like the yellow pair too, that image seems not to have the compositional strength as the first.
When I visited the tulip farm I found so many choices of colors! I found it very difficult to get detail in the red ones. You have a variety of compositions here...good for you to stretch yourself to try different angles.
I am continuing to take pictures on a regular basis. I take most of my pictures in manual mode now and I'm getting more comfortable doing so. I still want to practice my people picture skills. My favorite type of picture is macro.
I've been getting serious about photography for a little over two years. I want to learn everything I can so I read lots of books (my friends give me a hard time and tell me I'm reading textbooks).
I like your shots. Very lovely. Your first photo is my favorite, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like macro-photography. I have not taken any of flowers, but I will later in the season.
I especially like the bottom shot. There's something about shadows on flowers that, to me, seems to evoke a hidden world.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteThe last is my favorite too, all are gorgeous though and what great color!

ReplyDeleteStill waiting for tulips up here!

Glorious tulips! I love the first one because of the colors and the backlighting. Though they all have their own merits.
