Corn Field

Corn Field 2

  1. As a youth, of 13 I went walkabout in western New South Wales Australia for a few months. When I found myself in corn country, I went looking for work, but there wasn't any, but the farmer showed me what ripe corn looked like and how to bend the stalks without breaking them, gave me a Billy (Cooking Pot) some Butter which I replenished and some salt and sent me on my way with the words, you won't go hungry for the next 300 miles. I don't think I have eaten better in my life. Fresh (Straight off the stalk) corncobs are the best food on earth!

  2. So true! I could eat my weight in fresh corn and boiled peanuts. I'm really from the south. :)

  4. No not Nebraska, I'm in Alabama. We have lots of corn and cotton here. Glad you all liked the picture. I've been imagining this shot for a while and the traffic worked well for me today.

  5. I really like the second picture from the water in the foreground to the white fluffy clouds in the background.
