I got to school early today (as usual) but there were no children there to prepare for. The other day when we had field day I noticed these wildflowers and knew I would have to go back and take pictures of them. So I took my extra time this morning to do just that. These things were as tall as I am (which is pretty tall). I can't decide which one I like the best so I posted them all.

I like the last two the best...the hint of the background is stunning in both...also great clarity!
ReplyDeleteGreat detail. I really love the background in the last picture. The shallow DOF makes it beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove your version of WILD. Here in my territory we call these thistles. Birds love the seed but I don't like the thorns.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of dof on these. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteThey sure do look prickly. I like the last one. Great colour and DOF.
ReplyDeleteI like the second shot from the top--it reminds me of some sort of alien planet in a sci-fi movie! Nice texture and color.
ReplyDeleteVery cool shots, the bottom two do have especially fine bokeh. I wonder if those are cardoons, they look like a a thistle and like an artichoke sort of.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what they are but they are growing all over. I see them everywhere on the side of the road. These were growing behind the school. They just caught my eye because I thought they were different from the regular flower pictures I make.
