I think this might be my favorite picture from the drag strip this weekend. I was playing around with settings and techniques. I took this one in manual mode and panned into the sun as they raced down the track.

Redd Wedding Bride & Groom

I was able to get these pictures to the bride and groom this week so I wanted to post a few of my favorites here. These are just the pictures I took of the two of them after the ceremony.

Drag Race

Went with Chris to the drag race today. I was trying to practice panning shots and this is a lot harder than it looks! This is the one ok shot I got. For some reason most of the shots were only focused on the back of the car or the entire thing was blurry. Maybe I could just say that is what I was going for, complete blur, but it wasn't. This second shot was an almost... the car was just moving way too fast!




This is one of my favorite shots of the day. Crazy right? But I like the super charger with the red around it.

Redd Wedding Sneak Peek

The love of my life finally let me take a picture of him today at the wedding. I'm so happy because I love this picture of him. I'm sure his mom will love it too since she doesn't have any recent ones. The last time we had a picture made together was when his cousin Sharon got married, ages ago.



There are just a few of the pictures I took at the wedding today. I had fun but wasn't feeling the best. I just didn't feel on top of my game. When I'm feeling a little better I plan to go through all the pictures and do a little editing before passing them along to the bride and groom.

McKenna

I had a chance to take pictures of one of my former students today. She is such a beautiful girl and so photogentic. I had so much fun taking pictures of her.

Softball Game Sept 17, 2011

I went to a softball game today to take some pictures. Wow, it is hard taking pictures through a fence. Most of them turned out pretty good but I think they could have been so much better without the fence interference! Oh well, I worked with it the best I could.

The Metal Chicken Story Comes to an End

Chris bought Sharon the metal chicken she has been wanting. I found a place right up the road that had some. We didn't get the giant one for her because they wanted $400 for that thing! Wow!

Once he got it to our house I took him out back and took a few pictures. This thing looks so funny. Chris said he thought he could make one of these no problem. I told him he should start because at $400 a pop for the big ones you can't go wrong!

First Day of School

I took individual pictures of all my students the first day of school. I moved them through quickly because I had 28 kids to photograph.



I picked at Dakota because I've taken a lot of pictures of his sister. When he got in front of the camera I told him today he had to get his picture made, as his teacher I was making him. All the girls were trying to get him to smile but I knew that wasn't going to happen. I was just happy I was able to snap a picture of him without him running to hide or putting a hand up in front of his face.

Another Big Metal Chicken!

My husband's cousin really wants one of these big metal birds. This is a rooster I found less than a mile from my house. I went home a different way today and discovered it. They had another one right outside the store and I think they are for sale. I'm not sure what someone would do with one of these but I have to capture a picture when I see one now.
