I had fun taking pictures of the Ledbetter family today. We were lucky and were able to dodge the rain by moving our time a little earlier than planned. However, we were able to get all the pictures made without any rain.

July 2012 Family

I got to see the girls this weekend and of I took the camera. They thought it was so much fun to go out and take some pictures. The first picture is (from L to R) Kendall, Leigha, Kayla, & Kara.



Kayla thought it was great to pose like a model like Aunt Chelle told her.

Kara is just like her daddy was when we were growing up. I can remember posing with Kevin squinting his eyes and not looking at the camera because it was too bright outside.

Precious little Leigha would only pose for one picture and she was off again.

We are anxiously awaiting a new brother or sister from the Ownby family. I'm going to be an aunt again and I can't wait! We don't know if it will be a girl or a boy but since they already have 3 girls, odds are it will be a girl. 

Love Macro

I always forget how much I love taking macro photos until I get to take some more. My little neighbor brought me some flowers the other day so I decided to take them outside and make a few pictures.

Now that school is out for the summer I'm going to have to get out and take some more pictures. I like taking pictures of people but I must say my first love is macro. Give me an insect or flower to photograph and I love it! I also like to do landscapes.

Redd Racing

I went to take pictures of a friend's race car today. My husband, Chris, does the engine work on this car so I was more than willing to go take a few shots for Wade. I took a ton of pictures but these are my 2 favorites.

Black Widow Outside My Window

I saw this huge black widow hanging under my window, right above a huge ant bed. I immediately ran in to get the camera and the macro lens. My husband is ready to go spray but I made him wait to make sure I got a good shot. On my way out the back door, he reminded me that they can jump and that I should be careful. Jumping spiders or ants can't stop me!

Back from DC

Just got back from the annual DC trip with my 5th grade students. I took a lot of pictures and thought I'd share a couple of my favorites here.

March 2 Tornado Damage

I am still amazed by the damage a tornado can cause. We went out yesterday to see how close it really came to our house again. The April 27, 2011 tornados took almost the exactly the same path and hit some of the same people over again. The man that lived in this home had just finished rebuilding and he was hit again.



Most of this is just half a mile from my house. It is scary to think how close it came to us again. I know it caused some serious flashbacks from April. I am praying for all who went through this. It is just heartbreaking to see homes that are completely gone or those that look like someone took a wrecking ball and just hit the house.
